If a risk assessment template is not appearing in your case, it means it has not been setup. As part of the Tranche 2 obligations, every Case needs a risk assessment. For all Cases (Listings or Matters) the Case Risk Assessment is not mandatory. This is covered by the Client Risk Assessment.
Tip: You can hide the Case Risk Assessment and Case Document Collection from view so your team don't have to keep selecting 'Skip'. We recommend hiding this as it is not required by AUSTRAC. Only the Client Risk Assessment is which appears later in the process, during Client Due Diligence, after you have done the ID Verification.
To do this, go to Templates > Cases (Listings or Matters) > Select the Template > Then toggle OFF the Risk Assessment and Document Collection.
Note: This can only be done for the Case. A Client Risk Assessment is mandatory and cannot be toggled off.
Check 1: Is the template the right type for this case?
Templates are linked to specific case types.
Check the case type shown at the top of your case.
Go to Settings → Risk Assessment Templates and confirm the template type matches.
If they don't match, update the template or create a new one for the correct case type.
Check 2: Has the template been saved?
A template that was not fully saved will not appear in case views. Go to Settings → Risk Assessment Templates and confirm the template is listed. If it is not, recreate it and ensure you click Save on the final step.
Check 3: Are you in the right place?
Open the case.
Go to the Risk Assessment section within the case (not Settings).
Click Start risk assessment or Select template.
Your available templates will appear in a dropdown. An empty list means no templates exist for that case type yet.
Still not working?
If templates are visible in Settings but still not appearing in the case, contact support via the chat icon. Include your case ID from the URL in your navigation bar and a screenshot of the issue. You can also notify the support team which specific Case (Matter or Listing) name.
